Monday was a bank holiday and after spending Sunday cooped up doing laundry and watching films I decided that I would get out.
I hit up a couple of weirdos from the internet to see what they were doing and ended up going to meet one at Waterloo.
By the time I got to Waterloo though they’d gone to Camden, so I picked up another stray and we headed to The World’s End in Camden where we finally caught up with him.
After a drink (I just had water because I’m still on a diet) we thought a wander round the markets which were open would be a good idea and it was.
I’ve never been round Camden Markets for any length of time, so finding out how big it actually was and exploring some of the nooks and crannies was fun. I still didn’t buy anything except an (okay) falafel, but could see myself going down there again for games or books or maybe even a balaclava.
We then went to meet more people in Soho and while everyone else got increasingly drunk I remaind stoically sober.
Around 8pm the group headed for food and I cut out to go and see if I could catch up with some Frightfest people, but as my phone had died and it was an hour until the next film I decided just to go home.
It was a bit disappointing not to catch up with anybody for the duration of Frightfest when I could realistically have gotten down, but I’m not going to lose any sleep over it.
